The Apple

This apple represents the Earth.

Nearly three quarters of the Earth is water.

This quarter represents the land.

Seven eighths of the land is either desert or mountains.

One eighth represents all the land including the depth to the centre of the Earth.

This piece represents all the land we have to grow our food on, one quarter of which has already been built on.

This tiny portion is what we have left to grow food.

As populations grow, the available land shrinks due to expanding deserts and unsustainable development.

As global warming increases, sea levels rise and deserts expand, we will have less land to feed an ever-increasing population.

NOW is the time for us to act to ensure a tomorrow for our children.
